On October 19, on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the Penitentiary System and the Day of the Penitentiary Officer, a large awarding ceremony was held in the Central Body of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. Head of the Service, colonel of justice Ambakum Grigoryan gave a speech of welcome and congratulations. Briefly presenting the memorable pages of the century-long history of the Service system, the Head of the Service emphasized the current state of the system, features and tasks to be done. "... Today, our service is a well-established structure that, continuing to improve itself, step by step overcoming the existing obstacles, consistently strengthens its unique and worthy place in the state system and society. Sometimes it is not adequately evaluated, but we ourselves are well aware of the daily difficulties both the system and each of us go through. I sincerely hope that sooner or later the hard work of our system, full of difficulties, will be appreciated by everyone as it deserves," said the Head of the Service.
