Italy has decided to include the Bridge leading to Sicily in the list of military spending

Italian authorities are discussing the possibility of classifying the construction project of the bridge leading to Sicily to Sicily to be included in NATO's necessary expenses, Politico reports.

It is noted that the suspension bridge under the Messina Strait is one of the most controlled infrastructure projects in the world. Its value is estimated at 13.5 billion euros. At different times, Duche Benito Mussolini and former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi tried to revive the bridge leading to Sicily to Sicily.

In the Italian government, the source of Politico notes that an official decision on the classification of the bridge has not yet been made.

NATO member states, after the Hague summit, have previously announced the plans to bring about 5% of GDP.

According to the document, one of the main goals of European countries will be strengthening defense in the next five years, as well as the ability to resolve security issues on its own.
