Ellene Khhtaria, a member of the DRAM opposition party, and a member of the coalition member Gedevan, a member of the Tbilisi parliament, went on hunger strike against the current authorities, they told reporters.
Kortaryan initially announced his hunger strike, already spending the night in front of the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue. Popkhadze joined him on Saturday morning.
"I'm going on a hunger strike on Rustaveli Avenue, I will not go anywhere from here. Hunger is not a self-sacrifice, but just a desperate step. I think the political process is at the crossroads. As a politician, I think this is the only way to deal with the ruling regime, "Khottaria told reporters.
In a conversation with journalists, Pokhadze noted that he joined his counterpart, as "there is no way to cooperate with the current regime."
