Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan believes that issues related to the settlement of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine are complicated and cannot be resolved in several stages. He said about this on A Haber TV channel.
"During the last round of talks, the parties again agreed to exchange prisoners. However, at the same time, they expressed their positions exchanged with memorandums that will be discussed during the next meeting.
"Both sides are now officially aware of each other's positions. But I have already said that the issue of the Ukrainian conflict is very large, it is not a matter that can be solved in several matches, "Fidan said.
He noted that since the exchange of memorandums, the initial negotiation positions have been formed.
"Usually, such negotiations start from a fairly remote point. If the talks are doing well if there is an intention to compromise, if the mediator also helps, as we believe, the parties will be able to make a common denominator, "he said.
