The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) blew 1 kilometer long tunnel belonging to the Northern Hamas movement of the Gaza Strip, the army's press service reported.
"The terrorist tunnel of about 1 km long has been completely destroyed," the statement said. The military noted that the operation was carried out in the northern part of Gaza, in Bate, where "the troops were found and destroyed dozens of terrorist objects and a number of terrorists."
The press service noted that the destroyed tunnel used the Palestinian radicals to attack Israeli soldiers in the summer of 2014 during the landing stage of the 50-day "defensive" military operation carried out by Israel.
