India is Russia's major strategic partner in military and military-technical spheres, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov said during a meeting with Indian Defense Minister Rajnat Singh.
"India is an exceptionally important strategic partner for us, a traditional friend, including partner military and military-technical spheres," Interfax agency quoted Belousov as saying.
Starting negotiations, he expressed sincere condolences over the plane crash at Ahmedabad Airport, asking words to compassion and support to the relatives and friends of the victims.
