Australia supports US strokes against Iran

Australia supports US strikes on Iran, but insists on the need for a dialogue to prevent further aggravation in the region, the Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese said.

"The world has long agreed that Iran should not buy nuclear weapons, and we support the actions that can prevent this," the Prime Minister said at a news conference.

He said that the blows of Iran's nuclear facilities were the unilateral decision of the United States, and that the Canberra was not aware of Washington's plans.

"We do not want to escalate and extend a large-scale war and continue to call for dialogue and diplomacy. We call on Iran to sit at the negotiating table, to refrain from any nuclear program and refrain from further actions that can be united, "Albanese said.
