The Israeli military recorded a group of armed men entering the country from Jordan. This was reported by the army press service. “Some time ago, soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces identified a group of terrorists who penetrated from Jordan into Israeli territory south of the Dead Sea,” the report says.
A firefight ensued between the military and the infiltrators, the army said. “Troops of the Israel Defense Forces were sent to the scene, and two terrorists who opened fire towards the troops were neutralized by [Israeli] forces,” the press service reported.
The military is combing the area around the scene of the incident, the army added.
