A state of emergency has been declared in the Rostov region, which was introduced in 10 regions due to dry weather. This was reported by Interfax, citing the press service of the acting governor of the region.
Land drying is observed on May 18 in Azovsky, Belocalitisk, Verkhnogradsky, Oktyabressky, Semikarkarsky, Salsksk, Jimlyansky and Vesovesk.
The officials reminded that the villagers who suffered from the drought have the right to insurance payments that enter the enterprises during the state of emergency. In total, more than 929 thousand hectares of crops have been insured for the current year's harvest.
