Iran has thwarted the experience of creating a Zangezur corridor, said Ali Akbar Velayati, an adviser to the International Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, reportsTasnim:
According to him, Iran has never been so strong, indifferent as it is today. One of the clear signs of this capacity was Iran's rapid and decisive response to the crisis established in the South Caucasus region.
"When some countries have tried to link Nakhichevan over Armenia's territory, which would, in fact join the partition, the Islamic Republic of Iran resolutely opposed this program and thwarted it," said Velayat.
Velaati stressed that the ultimate goal of the Zangezur corridor was not only to cut off Iran from the northern direction, but also surrounded and closing the circle around Russia. However, this project also failed.
