More than 400,000 refugees returned to Syria from neighboring countries, after the resignation of former President Bashar al-Assad, said Mazen Alush, Director of the Department of Syrian Sea ports and Land border checkpoints.
"After the previous regime, more than 400,000 Syrians have returned to the country's land border checkpoints," said Alush "Al Ichbaria" TV.
According to him, about 90,000 people returned to Syria in May. In late November 2024, the armed formations of the Syrian opposition began a large-scale attack on the positions of the Syrian army and entered Damascus. On December 8, Bashar al-Assad left the post of Syrian president and left the country.
