US and Russian Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation. They discussed the attack on Russian airports by Ukraine and a new nuclear agreement with Iran. Trump wrote about the results of the conversation on the TRUTH SOCIAL social network.
"I just finished the conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The conversation lasted about 1 hour to 15 minutes. We discussed the attack on Russian planes by Ukraine, as well as other attacks on both sides.
The conversation was good, but not such that would lead to immediate peace. President Putin strongly said that he will have to respond to the recent attack on airports.
We also discussed the situation with Iran and the fact that the time to make a decision on nuclear weapons is consumed, and this decision must be made quickly. I told Putin directly. Iran should not acquire nuclear weapons, and I thought we had agreed on this issue. Putin offered to take part in negotiations with Iran and admitted that he could help speed up the solution of this issue. In my opinion, Iran is slowly making a decision on this very important issue, and we need a final answer as soon as possible.
