In New York, attacks on law enforcement officers have significantly increased in the last six years, according to the city's police.
According to statistics provided by the New York Police Department, 970 attacks were registered in the city from the beginning of this year, while in the same period of 2019, their number was 595.
Thus, the number of violence against police over six years has increased by 63%.
Moreover, in 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, the growth of attacks on the police was almost 4.5%.
Statistics show that the lowest number of attacks in 2019-2025 was registered in 2020-2021, after which it started to grow sharply.
