Ukraine joins the NATO aviation system. The fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be coordinated with the Allies through a digital interface.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Katerina Chernogenkenken.
Ukraine has signed a license for NATO software, Control and Alert Center System Interface (CSI).
This step will allow the Ukrainian air forces to operate in a unified digital system with aircraft aircraft.
CSI is part of the combat management system that operates through the LINK-16 protocol, which is known as NATO's "military Wi-Fi".
It is through this protocol, the information is exchanged between aircraft (particularly F-16 and Mirage 2000), anti-aircraft defense and missile defense systems (Patriot) and other protective components.
The agreement was implemented due to the joint efforts of the Ministry of Defense of the country, the General Staff, Air Force and international partners.
It is noted that the program is used by almost all members of the alliance, so its integration with its partners is the key to the full interoperability of Ukrainian forces.
"We not only dream of joint action with allies, but to make it a reality," said Chernogenko.
