German Chancellor Friedrich Merz may announce a visit to Kiev's new fighting systems during his visit to Berlin. This was reported by Bild newspaper.
In particular, Germany can provide missiles with Mars II multiple missile systems (MLRs). In 2022, 5 such systems were already transferred to Ukraine. In addition, according to BILD, the German government plans to provide one million to support the Ukrainian defense industry, in particular, up to 2.5 thousand km of winged missiles.
As the defense industry facilities become the target of Russian forces, Germany is negotiating new IRIS-T air defense systems to Kiev. However, if a positive decision is made, their supplies will not start until the end of the 2020s, the newspaper writes.
