The United States can set customs on Apple, Samsung and other smartphones in late June. US President Donald Trump stated this during a conversation with journalists at the White House.
Trump was asked whether his last post on Apple's possible contribution to the possible introduction of custom duties means that they would not affect other smartphones.
"These companies will be more. Among them will Samsung and other companies that produce this product, otherwise it will be unfair, "said the American leader.
At the same time, Trump admitted that customs duties will be invested at the end of the next month.
"I think we will approve it properly in late June," he said, explaining that customs duties will not be used if electronics manufacturers transfer factories to the United States.
Earlier, Trump published a message on the Truth Social social network, demanding that Apple transported the use of the iPhone to the United States, threatening to define customs duties. According to him, the amount of the fee may be at least 25%.
