Ukraine has offered the EU a new, strict sanction plan

Ukraine is going to submit a 40-page proposal to the EU demanding to strengthen sanctions against Russia, especially if US President Donald Trump refuses to use new restrictions.

In the new "White Book" Kiev urges EU to seize the assets of Russian billionaires under sanction and transfer them to Ukraine. It is also proposed to use "secondary sanctions" against the countries that buy Russian oil, including India and China. This will be considered one of the most sanctioned steps, which the European Union has had yet to avoid applying.

Although Trump promised to help Ukraine, he became clear after his last telephone conversation, he was not going to impose new sanctions at this stage. Instead, European countries decided to continue pressures, regardless of Washington's position. At the same time, Kiev calls on the EU's leading role in the EU, not to weaken pressure on Moscow, regardless of American support, Reuters reports.
