The President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Hungary met in Budapest. At the joint press conference, Ilham Aliyev touched upon the settlement process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He stated that the OSCE Minsk Group needs to be liquidated for the signing of the peace agreement. Aliyev once again blamed Armenia, allegedly territorial claims.
Aliyev spoke about Hungary-Azerbaijan bilateral relations, emphasizing that they are strategic. "Hungary is one of the few countries that pursues an independent policy. And this is quite difficult, especially within the European Union, "Aliyev said. He added that the two countries will deepen cooperation in the mining industry.
Orban also thanked Aliyev for being beside Budapest in difficult times. According to him, Aliyev assured that Azerbaijan will provide Hungary with gas, taking into account the problems in that sphere against the background of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Victor Orban also welcomed the agreement between the Text of the Peace Agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressed hope that it will be signed soon.
