The Israeli bombing of the city of Nabatiyeh in southern Lebanon killed 16 people and injured 52, the emergency center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement.
Earlier it became known that the head of the city of Nabatiyeh, Ahmad Kheil, and several municipal employees were killed as a result of the Israeli attack. The attack on the municipal building took place during a scheduled meeting to resolve humanitarian issues.
“According to the latest data, as a result of Israeli airstrikes on two administrative buildings in the center of Nabatiyeh, 16 people were killed and 52 residents were injured,” the statement said.
Eyewitnesses on Wednesday morning told RIA Novosti about a massive bombing of several blocks of Nabatiyeh. Lebanese media also reported that the Israeli military blew up an entire block in the Mkhaibib settlement in southern Lebanon.
