CSTO considers Taliban long-term political factor in the region

The Taliban of the Collective Security Treaty (CSTO) considers the Movement of the Movement a long-term political factor in Afghanistan, and it is necessary to intensify contacts to maintain stability in the region. The statement came from CSTO Secretary General Imangan Tashamagambetov at the sitting of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) in Bishkek.

"The Taliban regime proves that it is a long-term political factor. A number of CSTO member states, such as Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia have intensified bilateral contacts with the authorities of Afghanistan to promote social stability in that country, "he said.

According to the Secretary General, the CSTO Secretariat considers it important to continue to control the situation in Afghanistan and increase the coordination of efforts to counter the country's threats.

The sitting of the CSTO PA Council, which will chair the Organization, chairs the President of the State Duma Volodin, who also led the CSTO PA, chairs the CSTO President Vyacheslav Volodin.
