Iran will never give up on the enrichment of uranium for peaceful purposes. This was announced by the representative of the Majlis and National Security Commission of the Islamic Republic and the National Security Committee.
"Iran will never give up uranium enrichment and nuclear technology," the parliamentarian told SNN. On May 18, US President's Special Envoy Steven Whitcoff said that Tehran cannot continue to enrich uranium, as it could lead to nuclear weapons.
"Nuclear energy is vital for our country. These technologies play not only a key role to meet Iran's medical and industrial needs, but also an important restraining measure against external threats. Therefore, negotiations or transactions on this issue are not possible, "Reza added.
