The pilot lost consciousness at a height of 10,700 m. The plane flew without management

During the Lufthansa flight flying from Frankfuria, an incident took place, which could lead to disaster. According to the Spanish plane crash investigation committee, on February 17, 2024, Airbus A321 remained at a height of 10,700 meters without active management, after the second pilot lost consciousness. Business Insider writes about this.

The incident took place when the commander of the plane came out of the camera to use the toilet. At that moment, the second pilot, remaining alone, was suddenly fainted, presumably due to a neurological disorder for previously uncontrolled.

The autopilote continued to keep the plane on the planned route, but the body of the pilot, which was unconscious, partly affected management, as a result of which the plane was deviated from its direction. However, the captain could not immediately return to the pilot compartment. The door was closed, and the entrance system did not work, as the second pilot could not be approved.

Eight minutes later, the second pilot came to his senses and was able to open the door. The commander immediately returned to his place, take over the management of the plane and decided to make an emergency landing at Madrid Airport, noting that his partner looked ill.
