Trump administration is concerned with Apple, Alibaba with a Cooperation Agreement

The possible contribution of the artificial intelligence of the Chinese company Alibaba in Apple's iPhones has caused concern in the United States. According to The New York Times, the Trump's Administration and Congress are concerned that this transaction can contribute to the development of AI technology in China and deepen Apple's dependence on Beijing's laws, censorship and data control.

For Alibaba, this cooperation is a big step in China's rapidly growing AI market, especially in view of Deepseek's internal competitors, which develops its own models with much lower costs. Apple has not officially commented on the details of the deal, but in February, the company confirmed that the services of AI would be available to Chinese users in the future.

US officials emphasize that such transactions can hit national security, strengthening Chinese technology in the world market. Despite the concerns, Reuters have not yet been able to confirm NYT data independently.
