In March, the European Union, with a gas pipeline, has bought gas from Russia to 340 million euros, which has been the lowest import value since 1999, according to Eurostat data.
According to the department, the EU bought gas worth 339.8 million euros from Russia in the early spring, which is 42% less than last month.
At the same time, liquid natural gas supplies remained at the level of 830 million euros in March, due to Russia's imports from Russia to 1.17 billion euros, 17% less than last month.
Russia's share in the total volume of European gas purchases decreased by 13.1%, for 18.4% a month ago.
