The European Commission seeks to ensure that EU member states have accelerated the procedure for obtaining access to American researchers in an interview with Politico, European Commissioner for Research.
Zakharyan said that the European Commission plans to make several proposals to improve coordination between EU member states in the field of scientific research.
"For example, visas, the speed of their provision. We want to encourage member states to use our tools faster, as speed is also important, "he said.
Zakharyan added that the EU seeks to increase scientific research, while reminding pressure of universities and research institutions by Donald Trump administration.
The Commissioner also touched upon the proposal of the European Commission on fixing scientific freedom within the framework of the Law on the European Research Area, which will be prepared in 2026.
