Germany has expressed readiness to attend possible talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul

The German government is ready to take part in possible talks on the settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict in Istanbul on May 15. The official representative of the German Ministers of Germany Stefan Cornelius told reporters about this.

"The German government is ready to attend the Istanbul talks. It is currently being developed. In fact, we will talk about talks between Russia and Ukraine. However, the support of European partners will be proposed, "he said.

Cornelius also stated that if the ceasefire agreement is not reached, the decision to participate in possible talks in Istanbul must make Ki.

"Russia has a clear proposal to negotiate with Ukraine, Ukraine must decide if it will accept the proposal to negotiate this way," he said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin offered Ukraine to resume direct talks in Istanbul on May 15, "without any preconditions." In his turn, the President of Ukraine announced that a ceasefire expects a ceasefire from Russia and personally will personally wait for Vladimir Putin for negotiations in Turkey on May 15.
