Moldova accuses authorities of repression of Gagauzian leader

The Moldovan authorities are trying to limit the activities of Gagaus Autonomy Evgenia Gutsuli, and they use repressive methods, Pobeda MP Vasile Bolian said on Monday.

Gutul was arrested on March 25 at Chisinau Airport and was arrested for 20 days. The prosecutor's office accused Gagauzian leader of financing the declared part of the unconstitutional cloth in the country.

At first, the court ruled that Gutul should detain until April 14, but the precautionary measure was changed for a period of 30 days on April 9.

Natalia Bayram, a lawyer, told RIA Novosti that prosecutors asked the court to extend the basis of the grosso on 30 days. Proponents of Gagausia, the supporters of Gagauzia are taking a picket near the Chisinau Court building, which discusses the request of the prosecutor's office for another 30 days.
