Belarus and Vietnam have agreed on strategic partnership

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Communist Party have signed a joint statement on the establishment of a strategic partnership between the two countries, RIA Novosti reported.

After the signing ceremony, Lukashenko noted that it was a logical decision, natural and overdue. He clarified that Vietnam is a key partner in Belarus in Asia.

Lukashenko stressed that countries connect sincere friendship and mutual support. Lukashenko said that the parties agreed to continue to move forward, adhering to those principles. "We are focused on long-term and high-quality cooperation," he said.

Lukashenko also awarded Lami with the Order of Friendship of Peoples, emphasizing that it is not a ceremonial formality. The award was awarded for a huge personal contribution to the strengthening of cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus.
