US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has issued a statement on the ceasefire between India and Pakistan mediated by the United States.
"During the last 48 hours, Vensi had contacts with high-ranking Indian and Pakistani officials, including prime ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Subramanam Gayshanc and Army Staff, and National Security Advisors. I am glad to announce that the governments of India and Pakistan have agreed to stop the fire immediately and start negotiations on a wide range of issues in the neutral zone. We welcome prime ministers and Sharif to pursue peace of peace for their wisdom, the state figure, "the statement said.
