Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a message on the occasion of Victory Day, May 9.
It reads:
"Dear people, beloved citizens of the Republic of Armenia, today we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet Union and the Western Allies in the Second World War. This war broke out due to Nazi ideology in Germany and its allies, the key content of which was that a group of nation or a group of nations was dominated or others.
And many nations around the world have united to prove the opposite and won the victory in the victory as well as the Armenian people, in the Soviet Union, Western Allied Armies and underground scientific groups. Today we pay tribute to all these compatriots.
This day, the world also faces the danger of Nazism, fascism, totalitarianism, which is anti-theft, the people, the historic purpose of provoking wars and restricting freedoms.
This is not an easy way, but it is necessary to pass, and that the path is worth it, and that the road to achieve the irreversibles is needed, faith, casualtiness and consistency. In recent years, a significant part of my activity is dedicated to the discussions with the citizens of the Republic of Armenia on the ideology of the Republic of Armenia. This is a very important process.
The ideology of real Armenia is the result of reading and re-opening our history, the real Armenia's ideology is the result of reading the messages of historical Armenia, which tells us. Do not go in my way, but focus on our dreams of building freedom, happiness, prosperity in the Republic of Armenia, and to transfer that happy state to generation.
Today we have this opportunity and we must realize that opportunity.
Today we also have the opportunity to contribute to the peaceful and prosperous future of our region. The draft agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan is agreed and is waiting for signing, and we will go that way.
Our region has earned the right to live in peace and prosperity and should be.
Contrary to all internal and external provocations, there will be no war between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, there will be peace.
