BYD wants to sell half of his cars abroad by 2030

The Chinese BYD, which has become the country's leading carmaker, aims to carry half of China outside China by 2030. The company focuses on Europe and Latin America, as the entrance to the US market is blocked with high customs duties, Reuters reports.

BYD already has factories in Thailand, will soon open in Hungary and Turkey, and plans to be the third European factory. In 2024, the company sold more than 4 million cars, 90% of whom, in China, to sell $ 10 million, competing with Toyota and Volkswagen. However, without access to the US market, it remains complicated.
