Estonia has closed its sky for Fico's plane

The Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fisco said Estonia did not allow his plane to fly through that country.

"A few minutes ago, Estonia informed us that it would not allow them to fly over their territory. "Of course, this will deliberately tribute my visit to Moscow on the official celebration of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II," said Fiscon Facebook page.

He also noted that Estonia has made this decision, although Slovakia has permission to use the country's airspace. As a result, he will not be able to take part in the events scheduled for May 8 in Moscow.

"But at the moment, we do everything possible to find another alternative way ..." He added.

The Slovak Pravda publication, citing diplomats, writes that Latvia and Lithuania also made such a decision. The Latvian Foreign Ministry explained its decision by the fact that the celebration in Moscow considers a "propaganda event" and participating in it "incompatible with the fundamental values of the European Union."
