The United States must renounce threats and pressure tactics, if it really intends to have a dialogue with China. The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Zzyan said in a briefing about this, commenting on the possible reduction of US President Donald Trump.
"If the United States really wants to resolve the issue through dialogue and negotiations, it should refuse threats and pressures and dialogue with China based on equality and mutual respect," Lin Jian said.
Trump has previously said that China's import customs duties will reduce, because without this step, Washington and Beijing would not be able to do business with each other.
