Bulgarian President Rumi Radev led the celebrations of the Bulgarian Army, St. George's Victory Day in Sofia. In a speech to the participants of the military parade, he called for the recall of World War II lessons, according to TASS correspondent from the scene.
"The years go through the most destructive war in the history of humanity, and the world of World War II inevitably repays.
Some people try to distort his story. Therefore, it is a great honor for us that some of the few veterans of this war on this holiday are in the chair to honor the memory and feat of the Bulgarian participants in the crushing of Hitler.
"In order to remember him," said the President of the Bulgarian army and the Commander-in-Chief.
Radev expressed regret that war lessons were forgotten by the heirs of heroes. "Unfortunately, the horror of what happened did not stop the new bloodshed, and in the heart of Europe," he said.
