The European Commission has launched its satellite mapping service to help locate Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, whose helicopter crashed today.
Crisis Management Commissioner Janez Lenarcic said on his X microblog that the European Commission launched a "rapid response mapping service" in connection with the helicopter crash.
According to him, the decision to activate the service was made after a request for help from Iran.
The European Commission's emergency management service Copernicus provides mapping based on satellite imagery.
