American entrepreneur Elon Musk personally donated almost $75 million to a political committee in support of the election campaign of US presidential candidate Donald Trump America PAC over three months, according to a report published on the website of the US Federal Election Commission (FEC).
Previously, Musk has repeatedly expressed support for Trump on his social network X.
According to the FEC report, Musk has already donated $74.95 million to the Trump campaign between July and September. The Hill reports that the report is the first published document from the America PAC committee. According to the publication, another report is due on October 24, which will cover the period from October 1 to October 16.
Musk has become increasingly politically active over the years and regularly comments on American politics on the social network X.
However, he previously publicly criticized both Democrats and Republicans, claiming that he does not support either party. Over time, his views became increasingly right-wing, and already this year he openly declared his support for the Republican Party. The US presidential elections will take place on November 5. The Democratic Party will be represented by Vice President Kamala Harris, and the Republican Party by former President Donald Trump.
