The largest joint military exercises of the Estonian Defense Forces and Allied Forces, Siil 2025 will take place on May 5-23. More than 16,000 soldiers will take part in the exercise from Great Britain, France, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, the United States and Canada, from Japan, Israel and Ukraine. This was reported by Estonia's defense forces.
"The main goal of the exercise is to implement the main tasks of the Estonian and regional defense plans in cooperation with the Allies, as well as inspection of defense forces and allied subdivisions.
Within the framework of "Siil 2025" this year, special attention will be paid to imports of additional allied units, as well as the adoption and integration of those subdivisions with direct combat readiness of the Estonian defense forces.
The agency noted that the main combat training events within the northeastern and southeastern part of Estonia will take place in a number of defense forces and their surroundings.
