The vice president of the French Senate, Pierre Ouzoulias, members of the National Assembly and the Senate, representatives of regional, departmental and city authorities, as well as representatives of the French-Armenian community were also present at the opening ceremony of the school. In his speech, Ambassador Hasmik Tolmajyan thanked Mayor Carl Sego for the initiative to name the school after Manushyan.

The ambassador emphasized that due to his exceptional struggle and unforgettable feat for the liberation of France, as well as his boundless devotion to universal values, Misak Manushyan has become the most important symbol of Armenian-French friendship, who continues to inspire the young French generation with his heroic and tireless struggle. At the end of the solemn ceremony, the students of the school also performed original performances of Charles Aznavour's songs.
