Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Avad Ben Mubarak has announced that he has resigned.
Ben Mubarak was appointed Prime Minister of Yemen in early February 2024. He has previously held the post of Foreign Minister.

"I completed my meeting with the head of the Presidential Council Rashd al-Aliyi and handed over him to my resignation from the post of Prime Minister," the statement said in Ben Mubarak.

He explained his resignation to the "incapacity to fulfill the constitutional powers and implementation in the government." Ben Mubaraki stressed that he has faced many difficulties in his work.

According to Yemen's "Al Masdar Online", Ben Mubarak's resignation was the disagreement within the country's government. It is noted that the last sitting of the Yemeni Cabinet took place in November 2024.
