Beijing is in favor of a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and hopes that its main reasons will be resolved.
The statement came from Chinese Foreign Minister Van during the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the BRICS countries in Rio de Janeiro.
"China supports every effort to a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and hopes that the stakeholders will affect the right causes of the crisis, which will be fairly and peaceful for all parties," the Chinese Foreign Ministry website said.
The Chinese minister noted the need to insist on "objective and impartial stance on dialogue and dissolution through negotiations".
He also noted that the main priority in the Middle East is the establishment of a comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the end of humanitarian disrespect.
