About 500 buildings were damaged in Istanbul on April 23, and Turkish Minister of Urban Development and Environment Murad Curum said on Saturday.

"According to the results of the damage assessment, 8367 buildings were tested in 39 districts of Istanbul, 437 of which received minor damage," said Curum on his X's page.

The Minister noted that the assessment of the damage continues.

Most of the reports of citizens were received from densely populated areas in the west of the city.
