Rostelecom allowed blocking of Google services in Russia

Google services running on Android may be partially blocked in Russia, said Rostelecom Senior Vice President for IT Darius Khalitov. According to him, services can be blocked not by Roskomnadzor, but by the American corporation itself.

Khalitov added that all foreign services could “in principle disappear.” Russians may even lose the opportunity to receive push notifications from banks, because they use the services of an American company.
