On April 21, RA Deputy Minister of Economy Edgar Zakaryan received a delegation of the Association for the Promotion of the Foreign Market Markets of China Kaos. Lilit Apukujanyan, a representative of the International Trade Center (ITC), was also present at the meeting. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.
At the beginning of the meeting, Edgar Zakaryan briefly presented the tendencies of the textile industry in Armenia, the policy of the field and the tools of state support. Emphasizing China's great experience in the field of textile industry and the current potential for bilateral cooperation in that direction suggested the Chinese side to consider the possibility of investing in Armenia, as well as the creation of joint ventures.
In order to increase the recognition of Armenian textile products in the Chinese market, it has been suggested to study the opportunities for Armenian producers to participate in international exhibitions organized in China.
Informing that in Armenia it is planned to create industrial zones in accordance with international standards, Edgar Zakaryan may be considered a mutually beneficial cooperation in these zones.
The delegation is in Armenia on the initiative of the International Trade Center within the framework of the EU's construction of sustainable clothing and agribusiness in Armenia. In Armenia, the guests visited a number of large textile companies, and business meetings in B2B are also planned.
