He asked his aunt's son for coffee, went after the hammer and killed him with it, sold the stolen chain for 65 thousand drams

As a result of large-scale and systematic investigative and evidentiary actions carried out within the framework of the criminal proceedings being investigated in the Abovyan investigative department of the Kotayk Marz Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, the circumstances of the murder of the resident of Dzoraghbyur settlement, which are of essential importance for the investigation, were revealed. The investigation proved, in particular, that the 42-year-old resident of Dzoraghbyur, Jrvezh community, having seen the gold chain around his aunt's son's neck during his visits to his house, planned to kill him with selfish motivations and robbed it by robbery.

In order to fulfill his intention, the 42-year-old man visited the mentioned relative on October 8, 2024 at around 14:00 and seeing that he was alone at home, he asked the latter for an ax under the pretext of chopping wood, but finding out that there was an ax at home. he doesn't have, decided to kill him with a hammer in his house.

In order for the victim not to understand the real purpose of his visit, he asked the latter to treat him to coffee, after which he returned to his house to take the hammer, which is the instrument of crime, and complete his intended crimes with it.

Taking a hammer from his place of residence and hiding it in a bag, and a kitchen knife in his waist, he returned to his relative's house around 3:00 p.m. and when the latter sat on the bed, the 42-year-old man, unobtrusively removing the hammer with a metal head from the bag, struck him several times. hit him on the top of his head and, causing non-life-threatening injuries in the form of forced skull fractures, killed him. Seeing that the aunt's son had become motionless, he cut the gold chain on the latter's neck with a knife he had previously taken with him and stole a part of the 36.5 cm long gold chain, and left, leaving the hammer and the knife, which were the instruments of the crime, at the scene. The investigation revealed that after killing his relative, the 42-year-old man went to one of Yerevan's shopping centers, where he sold part of the stolen gold chain for AMD 65,000. On the basis of the obtained sufficient facts, a public criminal prosecution was initiated against a 42-year-old man under Article 155, Part 2, Clause 10 and Article 252, Part 2, Clause 5 of the RA Criminal Code, and he was presented is an accusation. A motion was filed with the court to impose preventive detention against him, which was granted. The investigation is ongoing.
