Financial Times. The EU wants to agree on the liberalization of mutual customs duties with Ukraine until June 5

The European Union will not extend the trade privileges of Ukraine after the expiration of the temporary commercial mechanism operating on June 5 and will try to agree on the liberalization of mutual tariffs.

This was reported by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper, citing official sources.

"The European Commission is committed to consultations with Ukraine, and our goal is to consider the issue of mutual liberalization of tariffs," the publication quotes the European Commission (EC) representative Olof Gilly.

"We will finally take this offer and we will present it to Ukraine as soon as possible," he said.

"The purpose of this process is to ensure economic stability and predictability for enterprises and farmers both in Ukraine and the EU," Gill added.
