The Republic of Korea and the US Air Force have conducted exercises with the American B-1B strategic bomber. This was reported by KBS TV channel, citing South Korean Defense Ministry.

The joint exercise took place on the deployment of the American bomber in the airspace of the Korean Peninsula. The South Korean side used F-16 and F-35A fighters, and the American side, F-16.

According to the TV channel, the exercise aims to show the potential of deterrent measures against the background of missile and nuclear program development in DPRK. The course also aimed to promote the comprehensive compliance between the Russian Military and US military.

Similar exercises, with the participation of the B-1B bomber, took place on February 20.
