We condemn the decision to stop the international search for the Azerbaijani criminal. announcement

The "Armenian Legal Center" in Washington has strongly condemned the decision of the Armenian government to stop the international search for the Azerbaijani war criminal Kamil Zeynalli in Washington.

Below we present the announcement of the Armenian Legal Center.

The "Armenian Legal Center" expresses deep disappointment and concern over the last horrible decision of the Armenian authorities with which the international wanted to be recalled by Azerbaijani citizen Kamil Zeynalli. He is accused of crucial war crimes committed during the 2020 Artsakh war. According to reports, Zeynalli is beheaded in the Hadrut region, thus fulfilling a gross violation of international humanitarian law.

This decision, which, according to reports, is related to the non-compliance of Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2007 with the non-compliance of the citizens in 2007. However, it disrupts the basic principles of justice and accountability. The "Armenian Legal Center" is convinced that such agreements cannot cancel international reconstructions for war crimes, which are universally recognized as crimes against humanity.

The renovation of the search coincides with the Armenian government with other concessions to Azerbaijan, including readiness to refuse the lawsuits against Azerbaijan in international instances. These actions have been outraged by human rights defenders and opposition figures who value betrayal, in memory of the victims of war, as well as a dangerous precedent of impunity. Rejection of relations and compensation for international law and compensation to both local and international levels is undermining the grounds for the rule of law.

The Armenian Legal Center urges the Armenian government to reconsider its decision and maintain commitment to justice for the victims of the Karabakh conflict. In addition, the Armenian Legal Center calls on international organizations and human rights authorities to intervene to ensure that people accused of war crimes are responsible.
