Turkey will continue diplomatic efforts to cancel the sanctions on Syria. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a meeting with Syrian Interim Head Ahmed Al-Sharaa within the framework of Antalya's diplomatic forum.
"Turkish-Syrian bilateral relations, regional and global issues were discussed at the meeting. President Erdogan said that Turkey will continue diplomatic efforts to cancel international sanctions against Syria.
He also spoke about the need to intensify efforts to restore trade and economic cooperation with Syria and assess the steps taken in other spheres, "the Turkish leader's administration said after the talks.
Erdogan also assured that Turkey will continue to make efforts to ensure stability in the neighboring country.
