Turkey will implement oil and natural gas in Somalia

Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar and Somali Minister of Oil and Mining Natural Resources Dahir Shire Mohamed have signed a joint cooperation in the energy sector.

Bayraktar said that on the basis of the agreement, oil, natural gas search and drilling in Somalia will start in the coming months. It was noted that this process will start by the Turkish Oil Corporation.

According to the Minister, the search and drilling will be carried out in 3 fields of approximately 16,000 square kilometers.
