Kazakhstan and Tajikistan leaders Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev and Emomali Rahmon will leave for Moscow to take part in the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. Sergei Lebedev, Secretary General of the Independent Cooperation of Independent States Sergei Lebedev stated this.
"It has already been announced that the CIS leaders, including Distinguished Emomali Rage and Kasim-Jomart Kemelevich, will take part in the celebrations in Moscow on May 9," he told reporters at the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers.
In December 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin invited them to the CIS leaders in Moscow celebrations. According to him, the military units of the cooperation between the countries will also be able to participate in the parade.
